Text message privacy policy

What we collect

Your name, your mobile number, and the details of your appointments with us, including the date you booked. If you use the booking form, the shop or the comment form on this website: what you type into it — such as your email address if you give one, and any notes — and, in the shop, what you reserve. To stop misuse of the forms we also keep a scrambled code made from your network address; it cannot be turned back into the address. That is the extent of it.

Why we have it

To book you in, to reach you if something about your appointment or order changes, and to send you appointment and order texts if you have agreed to receive them.

Who we share it with

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not sell your information to anybody, for any reason. The only companies that touch your number are the ones that make the salon work — the messaging provider that delivers the text, the booking system that stores your appointments, and the services that run this website and alert our staff when you send a request. They act on our instructions, they may not use your information for their own purposes, and they may not sell it either.

The one exception is the ordinary one: if the law requires us to hand something over, we have to comply.

How long we keep it

As long as you are a client, plus whatever period our tax and business record obligations require. Ask us to delete your details and we will, except for anything we are legally required to retain.

Stopping texts

Reply STOP to any message and the texts end. Message frequency varies with your appointments — up to two reminders per appointment and one text if we change or cancel it, plus one confirmation text for an appointment you request on this website and one pickup text for products you reserve on it.
